Hi,
i am new here and from germany!
jesterday i bought a pair of JBL L 65...without the LF Speaker!( but in mint condition)
I understood, that there are different modells , means different LF Speakers with different Crossovers!
Now i am looking for the right LF speaker.....but how to define it?

The plate is on the left side. Marked L65 (not Jubal), the port is below the woofer. The serie number is 50.178 and 50.160

The question is what is the right woofer 122A, 126A ore 129.

How can i know witch modell i bougt??

L65 Jubal - 126A (alnico)
L65A - 122A (alnico)
L65B - 129H (ferrite)

128H (ferrite) is the recomment replacement if originals are unusable.

The plate is on the left side. Marked L65 (not Jubal):There should be either an A or a B after the serial number.

Hello Wolfgang,
I'm hoping somebody here privately emailed you, and is trying to help you, perhaps with a pair that they are willing to ship to you.

If not, about the best recommendation I can think of, is to go to ebay US, and scroll through JBL auction ads to find what you want. I've seen these speakers there, and with some patience, you will find what you are looking for.

These speakers are worth restoring properly, with the right model drivers, and I wish you luck in finding them. Mark
