There are certainly two different diameters of the conical phase plugs used in 2403, 2404, and 2404H-1.

That appears to manifest in the overhang of the diaphragm, not the clamping surface, though.

I have not measured the motor/phase plug assemblies precisely, but there are differences among these, at least, which are not defined, to the best of my knowledge.

does anyone have some extra 2403 phase plugs laying around?

I was going to look for a pair of 2404 plugs, but this evidently isn't such a good idea...

warm regards,
David

How is it you just need the plugs? I've got a a pair of 2403 plugs and lenses, ('was going to buid a pair of cats-eyes once upon a time), but don't want to separate them...

i got a pair of 2403s awhile back that were 'beaters'

:banghead:

magnets shifted, phase plugs chipped -- the whole lot...

wanted to get as many 'nice parts' in hand before i sent them back to JBL for rebuilding....

If you want some 2404 phase plugs, just take a sample to an engineer and get some made. Simple. :)
