Hello JBL friends,

A pair of JBL L 9000 loudspeakers are offered on Dutch marketplace. Can anyone tell me what kind of speakers these are. I couldn't find these speakers on the internet. Are they equal to the L 90's ?. The vendor sent me some pics and i could read "Made in Denmark" at the back site.

Kind regards,

The l90 sounds better. the l9000 vs the l90 is like the Ti 5000 compared to the ti 250.
i like the L90 didnt like the L9000 as much but it's still a nice speaker.

gaan het echter niet halen bij je monitoren jan:D
de L9000 is saaier

I think i better keep my JBL 4312A monitors. Now i am looking for a pair of L96 and/or L112 loudspeakers.

Kind regards.,

JBL L9000 is a deluxe model of the L90, heavy cabinet and Maghoni wood :-) A vere limited edition model...

Citation is right, it's a L90.
Weight is the same and I can't find another difference!

Please don't do that. The SVA2100 is el cheapo grande. It really is not JBL quality. Instead buy the new L100 (floorstanding L90) or the S2600.
SVA2100 is audax tweeter (not even compression driver) and the woofers are not cast frame.

Today I got a pair of JBL L100 (Used ofcause) They sound so great! My harman/kardon Signature power amp. work's nice with L100 :-)

I got a TI-Center (From the TI5000-series) and a pair of JBL L2000 (L20) as surround.

/Martin, Denmark

JBL L2000, L4000, L6000, L8000 and L9000 is Jubilee models of L20, L40.. etc.. The only diffence is Maghoni cabinets instead of black ash.

Those L100 sure sound fine. They will go much lower than the L90. I had L90's for 3 years and they sound great. BUT they seriously lack low end.

Citation, are you a harman dealer?

The long-lost 705G mid-range! Now I can build a five-way L5, or maybe a six-way L7!

So, now we've got the 704G, 705G, 706G, and 708G. Any other models use this family of cone drivers? How does the 050Ti compare to the 035Tia? I didn't know the L-series (L1, L3, L5, L7) owners in the USA had cousins in Denmark!

TI3000
TI5000
L100 Century
L90 (Made in Denmark)
S2600
L2000 (Made in Denmark)
TI-Center

harman/kardon Citation 5.1 (made by Mark Levinson)

harman/kardon AVR335
harman/kardon Signature 1.3 (made by Mark Levinson)

The L100 sounds great. The LE120H does it so great!
The 050TI titanium tweeter sounds sometimes "to much". a little more softness pleace :-)

The 050TI titanium tweeter sounds sometimes "to much". a little more softness pleace :-)Just curious; what does an L2000 look like? I believe you compared it to an L20t at some point? Sorry, that photo is a bit fuzzy. Is the port on the back? Same tweeter as the L100? What's the woofer? 704G? 705G?

Do you suppose a foam "diffuser" of some kind hidden in the grille cloth would tame the 050Ti? I assume there is no pot to control the crossover ("brilliance"} on the Danish L100/L9000, just like the 4412A?

Very interesting series. Gives me yet another reason to ask what the hell is JBL marketing in the USA thinking? "They underestimate the demand for such models in this market," he said self-centeredly! It can't be cheap to produce that stuff in Denmark, either. Do the components say "made in USA"?

Thanks for sharing. :applaud:

L20 / L2000:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Woofer: 706G
L40 / L4000:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Midrage:704G, Woofer 708G.
L60 / L6000:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Mirage: none, Woofer 2x706H.
L80 / L8000:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Midrage 705H, Woofer 708G.
L90 / L9000:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Midrage 705H, Woofer LE120H
L100:
Tweeter 050TI, Midrage 705H, Woofer LE120H.
L-center:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Midrage/woofer 2 x705H.

All with port on the back.
There is no pot to control the crossover like "brilliance", so good idea to tame the 050TI :-)

All drivers is produced in USA. Only the cabinets was manufacted in Denmark.

You are right, this L-series, woud be a great succes, why not re-produce them?

The JBL factory in Denmark closed 6 years ago.. The last Serie was The TIK-series. (Great and real beautiful speakers)

JBL wanted to make "consumer-speakers" in the east.. (China etc...)

My point of view: Sadly the only real JBL speakers manufacted now, is the ones from USA (K2 and Arreay + the proffesional speakers.)

The crap from the east is not real JBL!

/Martin :-)

L20 / L2000:
Same tweeter as L100 (050TI) Woofer: 706G
Makes it similar to an L1. Seems like all the L5s and L7s running around here would be worth three times as much parted out. Very sad. :(

Thanks for sharing.

What's the sound-diffrence between midrage 704G and 705H?

I know that 705H has 30 mm. edgewound voice coil and the 704G only has 25 mm. voice coil.

Does the 704G sound more softly or?

/Martin
