Hello listers !
I am in the process of replacing my speakers. The candidates are
JBL 1400 Array and JBL K2 S4800. If someone has
experience on both speaker models, I would appreciate sharing
that with me to help me decide. I am not in postion to hear them.

Will you be able to return them?? That's quite and investment to purchase blind on someone else's advice. You need to audition them and make up your own mind.

You should consider how you are going to place them. The S4800 have wider horisontal dispersion and should be placed further away form side walls.


Good luck with your choice. If it was me i sould have choosen the K2. (if i had room)

you right, but as I said...nearly impossible to order them just for test.
You are from NY and it's funny because I bought my Altec Lansing
Model 19 there 28 years ago - the firm was called Stereo Corporation of America. Well Altecs are sold and I expect somewhat similar sound from
JBL. These new stuff just does not go into my ears. So I appreciate every opinion...
