Dear JBLholics!

Newbie as usual need your help… :o:

I’m going to buy a pair of JBL 4345. I’ve listened for them and they are sound fantastic!

What should I check before pay a money?

Is it possible to check that they aren’t clones and use original drivers?
If it is possible, could you please explain me how I can do this.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Pavel,

serial numbers are the best way to check. The serial number on the Lpads is a good place to start. You can take the components out and check the individual serial numbers on each . You should have 2405, 2420 or 2425 atleast, 2122 and 2245. If the seller is upfront he should assist you in this, If not :o: What is he asking for them $ ?

Rich, thanks!

Good idea!
Do you know where Lpads are situated on each component? Should I detach components to find Lpads or just open enclosure?

Another question is set of serials. I’ve got 2405, 2421B, 2122 and 2245H from spec. Why do you mention some another?
I haven't got final price yet.
Pavel.

The LPads are part of a panel that is attached to the inside of the cabinet and is visible under this black and silvery "foilcal" (Thanks to Bo for the eternal use of his photo). The foilcal has the serial number (of the whole speaker assembly) stamped into the surface. You can just see it to the left of the 3F arrow mark on the tape measure, and to the right of the text "Model 4345"l

You can read more about the 4345s here:
