LSR in anechoic Chamber

I had the chance to rent for a couple of hours an anechoic chamber
i wanted to calibrate these monitors with my DEQX processor
it was quite an experience

the measurements did not mach exactly the one in the spec sheets
but where close
i only did one measurement per speaker


being in one of these chambers feels like a vacuum in your ears

I would love to see your results. My father owns a pair of LSR32's, and I'm sure he would really love to see the results.

Very cool to see pics from the 'chamber', I've never been in one myself.....i'd love to hear my own heart beat in my head. :applaud:

I've never been in one myself.....i'd love to hear my own heart beat in my head. It's an experience :). Just not one I intend to repeat...
along with a room at the other extreme... an intentionally-echoic chamber.
Both made me ... uncomfortable. Not quite nauseous, but balance required extra thought.

They are weird.

I recall that speech sounded strange as there is a "click" noise you make at the end of some words that you don't pick-up in "real" rooms as it's hidden by the delayed reflected energy.

I think you could go mad very quickly in one of those rooms.

I've got one of those speakers (dodec).
Sound rubbish with anything but pink noise though.:)

Bruel & Kjaer.

It's their latest version that has an aluminium casing

We use it for sound insulation testing, mainly residential constructions. Sure get's alot of attenuation when you show up at a clients site with it. The actual components are very bland...£20 4" drivers and a fancy casing. That's it.
