Hi

My first post here. I have been lurking for while but never dared to post. But now i need some help or suggestions. Have been reading for almost a year here and started a speaker project about 6 month ago. Bought two E-140 baskets that were reconed to 2235H. After that i got some very nice finnish 1" birchply and after reading here i decided to build a box with the volume 160 liters.

To continue in the big leag i also found some ports that match the size of the drivers

And together i think it looks realy nice

The speaker behaves very nice and my first measurment looks like this without any filter

Hi Anders,

welcome to the forum,

your lurking was very successful I mean when I see what you do there.
Will be a nice system when ready.
Shall it be used as Subs or do you want to add some mids and heights?

like to see more of your DIY

regards

But as you all know this want be enough to play music. When i bought the "2235"´s i also bought a pair of 2370A and 2426H. Here is a picture of when they first played together

http://www.bergsatra.com/secanbj/jbl/publish/IMG_2758.gif

And initially with my first guess of filters it looked okey on the simulations

but it feels like there is more to give when i listen to them. So my humble question is if there are som suggestions to try when it comes to filters for 2370A and 2426H? I have tried to read and understand some of the JBL filters but so far havent tried any of them

and as we are speaking about DIY, this is the project that i did before the speakers and took me almost 5 years to finnish and will be the source to fill the speakers with music

Purchase a pair of 2344A horns and build the 4430 passive crossover would be my best advice:

You appear to be here, approximately:

[But much better done, of course.... ]

Hi

Thanks for all nice words! :) Have been searching for the 2344A now for some hours and it seems to be easier to find a ticket to the moon:( So i guess that i have to continue to investigate how to tame the 2370A until i find a pair of 2344A.

I was worried in the second picture if the enclosure or the driver fell on the toes...

Very nice work!

2344's? Jammin Jersey still has some on the list at $150.00 U.S. each.:biting: They are the two piece, three bolt type. Look on www.jamminjersey,com (http://www.jamminjersey,com) The last time I was in there they had 8?

Good luck!

Have you posted in market place? I was recently contacted and got to purchase a pair, NOS, still in plastic and original box, with warranty cards and bagged screws and T nuts!http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif Thanks OBJ!
