My 035ti in L80T3 had died. What other JBL tweeters I can use in place of the 035ti. I could buy other used 035ti but for some reason, I dont care for the sound of the titatinum tweeters, kind of harsh to my ears, Thanks in advance.

Common issue with these speakers is that you can have corrosion issues. the replacement kits (D8R035ti if I am correct) have been NLA for quite sometime.

As for replacement tweeters, you are only limited by the crossover, your ears and your ability to make it fit. :D

This has been asked before but I can not recall anyone having a different driver that would a) replace the 035 without modification, or b) present an alternate driver and required mods.

I have used both the 044ti and one of the Scanspeak (can't remember the model- one of the 2905 series) units quite a bit. The Scanspeak is a fine performer and has a good, grain-free presentation. Overall I do not find the 044ti any more or less harsh than the Scanspeak.

My observations, of course, and the 044ti is not exactly the same as the 035ti. Point is that the fix you are looking for may not be in the driver but in the crossover.
