I caught The Police at their big (80k+) outdoor gig in Dublin last night.
I have never seen them before and really went to see Stewart Copeland in action. Wasn't disappointed there. He really works hard and I can only imagine how potent he was in his prime.
Sting was good but slightly annoying as expected.
Andy Summers was on another planet sometimes. His guitar work wasn't great, so much so that I'd have preferred a stand in playing that could really nail those riffs.
Anyway, the rig was a big line array system. Not a JBL Vertec system from what I could see. No markings on it at all actually. We got into the VIP area at the front, a good thing as the sound was generally dire unless you were nearer to sweeter sound centre fills (there were 4 pairs of them along the front of the stage)
