Anyone know of a source for replacement terminal posts for an Altec 288C driver?

Thanks!

Hi gek,

Try this link to Hand Tightened Metal Binding Posts (http://www.abbatron.com/products/?dir=/part/get/ppj_ibn_knob) by HH Smith ( Abbatron ).

"B" is similar ( if not identical ) to the posts found on the smaller Altec drivers ( & it might be the same for the 288 series / though I don't know ).

- As far as I can tell, Abbatron/HHSmith are about the only game in town for replacement posts of either, the spring loaded or hand tightened varietals.

- You'll need to find a retailer who sells these parts ( such as Mouser or Digikey ).
- You may need to have a parts retailer special order these for you .

Now to find a distributor that won't insist on 1000ea minimum order....

Another manufacturer of excellent quality binding posts is Eby Company. We use a military grade post built by Eby in our Cogent drivers. Again, the task would be to find a distributor who will sell in small quantities.
