hi all, I am very happy that my 4333A restoration project is now successfully finished. forum member guido did a very good job on the networks, that were carefully restored by him. thanks guido!

I have decided to take out the active/passive switch and the massive internal cable chaos between switch and crossover. there are two WBT nextgen terminals instead of the original JBL terminals and can now hold modern spades, which is nice.

the diaphragms of the 2420 middrivers were replaced with new original aluminium JBL ones. all alnico drivers were regaussed before putting them back into the cabinets. at the moment I have a pair of very nice 2235H woofers that I bought additionally to the original 2231A (through posting a request in this forum - thanx).

just the speaker grilles are still missing but something nice is in the works!

on my mcintosh tube amp this pair of 4333A is now a source of BIG TIME FUN! thanks for all the helpful posts along the way so far.
:)

I will upload some pics soon.
