I came across these guys while hunting for mounting hardware for my project.
They have lots of the right size bolts and T nuts including Imperial sizes.
Online ordering with Paypal. Prices are very reasonable. They service the model airplane market it would seem.
No affiliation I just thought they might get some of you folks out of a bind.

Hi,
I am starting a rebuild of a pair of 4343 speakers. Quite a few of the bolts are missing from the front panel and I have decided to keep the Tee-nuts but upgrade the bolts to Allen bolts. I know the threads are Imperial, but I have no idea as to the precise specification. Do you happen to know what these are, or what JBL used ... or even where I might find this out?

Thanks for the help and good luck with your project

George :)

I'm sober , just shattered . 6 hours sleep the whole weekend . It was really nice to meet you George.

Is it the screws for the front baffle you need; the ones that attach the baffle to the cabinet ?

screws I need at the (semi) local Ace hardware.

Cheers,

(the big box boys ran the in town hardware store out of business so I have to drive 10 miles now)

10-32 by at least 1.5" ( the baffle is 1" ) for the 4343. The head on the allen types tend to be real small so I suggest washers and recess then with a decent fostner bit. However you will need some baffle-blue paint which is another major undertaking.....

Hello
Actually I already have a British sports car a 1969 Austin Healey Sprite but it is standard metric. I also have two examples of American iron a 1967 Camaro RS/SS convertible and a 1960 Studebaker Silver Hawk.

The Whitworth wrenches were from one of many motorcycles my dad had a Norton, Ariel Square Four or maybe one of the XKE Jags. I keep telling him he should have at least kept one of his toys!

I guess I took this post a little off topic!
