I jumped on Craigslist Sunday and found a guy giving away (as in "free") a JBL E140 with a fried voice coil. I was unfortunately 2nd in line, so I doubt if I'll get it. That's the "bad news".
This morning, I found someone on Craigslist selling a pair of Bozak B-401 Rhapsody speakers for $75. I got those - that's the "good news".
As much as I love JBL's, I love the old Bozak speakers for their "musicality". They'll have a good home here.
. . . or it would be if Bozak hadn't sometimes used JBL drivers.
Or maybe it was just that some customers bought the Bozak cabinets and put JBL drivers in them?
Congratulations on your score!
Let us know how you like them after you've lived with them a bit.

Always loved the sound; just couldn't afford them - till now.

That 401 looks like a remake of the 302, moving the tweeters from ankle level to up near the knees. I listened to the 302 (Urban cabinets) for a while in the 70's, purchased used of course. I thought they were very good speakers, accurate and tuneful, though requiring more amp than I could lay my hands on at the time.

Need to find a good home for my 201s (8" 2-ways, aluminum cone woofer and tweeter). Simply no place for me to use 'em, anywhere at home. :(
Regards,
Gordon.
