One of operas most celebrated tenor (Luciano Pavarotti) has passed at the age of 71.His voice has touched the world and has left behind a legacy of crowning musical achievements for many to enjoy until time ends.

What kind of question is that to ask:blink:? Yes his music was one of joy whether you hear in on the radio or in a film or at the world football match, does it make a difference, whether I have collections of CD no.

I couldn't agree more. A musical legend is now gone. A man known for his talent and his art....not an off-color, controversial nature.

Yes I’ve seen countless replies on Youtube countless I’m presently looking for some of the joyful moments from this grand master and paying respect with a sad reply of thanks.:)

Not only IMHO the greatest Tenor since Caruso, but just a great person, through his charming personality he was able to attract a lot of people back to Opera. Any one who has studied music realizes the amount of talent it takes to sing classical opera. I used to sing Baritone (not very good at it) but it did make me respect and appreciate those that could.

"Wonderful show classic FM bravo what could the listeners do with out you in sharing the life of the man “Luciano Pavarotti” the concert that I’m listening to now is marvellous even if I can’t understand the phrases the meaning still sounds universal and recognizable to me wondrous and thank you very much for putting on a great show. He will be missed the world over his will continue to play until till the end of time."

First Beverly Sills, then Luciano Pavarotti, it's a sad year for opera fans. I have a number of recordings of both, particularly on LaserDisc, which was a very opera-friendly medium in its day.
