This line from the ad is a nice bit of conventional mythology:

JBL used their pro audio knowledge to create the SVA. It got a lot of critical acclaim from the audio industry, however, JBL gave up on their ambitions to get into high end audio and discontinued the line. Which was a shame, because these puppies really sing.

It's a shame JBL downgraded its ambitions and put out gear like the Synthesis line, Performance Series, Project Array Series, K2 Series, and Everest II Series. :rotfl:
