It was a pretty crazy deal, I normally dont look at the free board (tools are my addiction) but I was having a bad day and needed to decompress. Click on the board, and there at the top of the page is "jbl 120ti" just one of those times it was meant to be. The speakers are very nice, besides the woofs needing refoaming. Going to do some old post searching tonight to see what my options are for for 128H? refoaming.

I'm with you. Most of the free stuff are people looking for someone to haul off worthless goods. We have a nimrod on the local CL that is offering free firewood. The only catch is you have to cut a tree down to get the "free" firewood.

About a year ago, I found an old Ampex tube console in the free CL section. I figured there was a couple of hundred dollars worth of parts on it so I went and picked it up. I listed the various components on eBay and ended up clearing $900 in profits.

Yes, its a great resource for local sales and purchases. I have found some decent deals including a pair of verticle array L100's, Legacy Focus towers and a mint condition Marantz 2270. All local pick up. But I have no luck selling unless your giving stuff away, to your point. I think I have received emails from every dreamer, tire kicker and scammer on the planet.
