L40 value

A pair of jbl L40 are for sale locallyin great shape from original owner. Do any have these? Any opinions of their value and sound. thanks in advance

These are a nice ten inch two way system. I kike the sound, but It's been a long time since I've heard them. I'd expect them to compare favorably to large advent etc. They were my first JBLs, back in 1980 or so. Price would be dependent on condition. They're not really considered collectable. You might get as high as $250 for absolutely perfect. Below 100 for a working set but with poor appearance.

By the way they sound quite nice, and the tweeter has a lot of power. I run the L-pad below the mid point and that is in a dead room.
