weird boxes - Stromberg Carlson

So I'm still cleaning up storage shed and I pull out these SC's...

They are a wood box with walnut trim on the front...but then there are stapled cardboard boxes inside, the baffle board is mounted to a soft flexable egg carton-like frame..
Good quality drivers , (chromed LFs , no less) but geeze...what cheap packaging..

That stuff doesn't resonate, is why.

We used to build complete cabinets out of Celotex soundboard.... :yes:
