Rather than going on Fleabay, offering a Luxman L-480 integrated amp and a T-450 tuner here, both excellent with owners manuals and original cartons. $100/OBO for both (plus shipping).

For a hundred bucks plus shipping, I would like to try them
When I bought my L200 grilles from you, we had communication problems.
PM me.

PM me.
Did you get the L200 grills from him?
I gather it was just the cut foam part and not the backing wood frame.
What color were they and how did they look?

Hi Heather,
They are blue and came mounted on the window screen frames. They are very nice, but took a long time to get. That's why I asked him to PM me.
No PM, no Luxman, no big deal, no loss for me.
Here are pix of one grille, front and back. It is quite dark in the room, so used the flash. The white spots in the grille are caused by the flash intensity.

so don't know if you have a thread discussing it. Is that the correct horn for the L200? If not, what is it?

That's a Zilchster creation!
And I was fortunate enough to have listened to those speakers. They kick some major butt!
I have no idea what the original horn is, but that certainly is not.
;)

hjames I purchased two sets of L200b foam grills, same as L200, from Sonofagun. One is maroon and the other is JBL blue. They look terrific and the original frames were window screens, not wood, with velcro to attach them to the speakers. I also have the JBL badges just like the original foam grills had. Sonofagun was the only one who made the grills for the L200/L200b that I am aware of. The cloth looks nice but the foam really makes these speakers stand out. Like you I have plate glass for the tops of the L200b, it's practical and good looking.

Heather, these are my DIY 4430's, inspired by Zilch's Quick & Dirty 4430's thread. They are two ways consisting of a 2235H woofer, and a 2431H driver on a JBL PTF waveguide. Quite effective. Wish you could come and hear them. Maybe it would change your mind about two ways.
Veneered in rosewood, of course.

Actually I just wanted to know about the L200 foams ...
Have you heard a set of 434x Monitors??
I heard Zilch's 2 ways - with the wrong woofs, of course.
Had a demo set here, remember? That inspired me to biamp and change my receiver and config around quite a bit.
I'm sure there are some nice 2 ways out there - I'm not close minded about them at all!
But I heard some - differences - in the kit I had vs the 3 and 4ways I had been used to
- some subtle differences in the top end - a difference in the shimmer of a triangle being struck, things like that.
I kinda like the 2 sets I have now - the quasi L300s in the living room with the Yamaha receiver,
and the biamped 4 ways in the TV room - nice on music and works great for movies too.
We watched "Flags of our fathers" tonight - quite nice!
