Maybe Harvey could help me answer this one (or anyone else in the know)?

I have a couple of fairly early serial D130F's (6439 & 6491) both 8-16 ohms. Cone code on 6439 - 130 202 & cone code on 6491 - 21057. The cones, doping & surround look identical on both speakers except for the different codes stamped on the back. They both have a paper/cardboard gasket as opposed to cork. I've seen 130 202 codes on the non "F" version D130's before but never on a "F" version. Since they're pretty close serial wise it seems odd the codes are different? Is there any difference between the 130 202 and 21057 cones? The reason I'm asking is because I'm going to use them in a guitar cab application and want to make sure they can take it. Is there a way I can determine the manucfaturing date? Also, when did they change to cork gaskets or did they use both?

Any help appreciated.....

Thx,
Peter

Except for the "gooped" surround, the D130 and D130F cone assemblies were absolutely identical in every way.
