tape/tape mark remove advise

I need another advise on how to remove the tape/tape mark left on my 4344 wood cabbinet.I am not sure the tape still there or not, I can feel the the tape still there but just too THIN and I can not lift any part to clean it.
I try to us hair dryer but no luck....see the pic for details.

I would do a thorough lemon oil rub and see if the moisture from the oil begins to lift it a bit and then keep working it in until you're able to remove it. Be patient,the process may be slow. I may also be wrong,one of the other members may have a better way,but the lemon oil rub has worked wonders for me in the past for a myriad of wood grain imperfections.

I would use Howards wood restore with some 0000 steelwool. Get it in walnut, follow directions and then use Howard's feed and wax. Both items are available at Home Depot. I see a white film on you're cabinets as my 250ti's had this same cloud look. This stuff will bring those cabinets back to new.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd try to remove the residue before using the Howard's. Citrus-based is best and I like Goo-Gone, available nearly everywhere in a little bottle for not much dough. Hasn't hurt anything I've tried it on yet. Then go with Howard's, cause it looks like the finish surrounding the adhesive has been effected by previous attempts. Good luck.

Goo Gone is the best...you can buy it in bulk at Home Depot...it is called Xylene.
What you have left on your cabinet is the adhesive from the tape...stay away from steel wool until you get all the adhesive residue off....lay paper towels soaked with goo gone on the residue till it softens, and gently wipe it off.

Just to correct my earlier post Goo Gone is cirtrus based while Goof Off another product with similiar purpose is 95% Xylene, hence my confusion.Goo Gone is citrus based. No chemical solvents I'm aware of. You're confusing it with Goof Off which is used for cleaning up pain spills, etc.

Citrus oil base is the way to go.

Another one is "Orange Glow"...orange oil based.....and smells good too.

I restored furniture for 20 years and my first choice was naptha or lighter fluid, it won't lift the finish.

I am still working on it with Howards wood restore and some 0000 steelwool,I try Goo-Gone with no luck...
Believe or not the tape seems to be only 0.0001mm thick and you really SEE it there(as per my pic), but just can't feel it when touch.
Seems take me forever to remove just little...will post pic when completely finish.

Try WD40, wipe some on the tape and let it soak into the tape and it should start to lose it's grip on the veneer.

I agree with jaybird, naptha is a solvent that will quickly dissolve most sticky stuff while leaving the finish untouched. I've used it on all sorts of tape residue for years now.

I've had great results over the years with Ronson lighter fluid.
The one for the Zippo lighters.
Put a paper towel over the spot and put the lighter fluid on the paper towel.
Takes about 20 to 45 seconds. That way it will stay put on the spot.
Great for also taking off pricing and store labels.
Works good for old masking and duct tape residue.

I've had great results over the years with Ronson lighter fluid.I believe most lighter fluid is just naptha.
