L26 Decade advice sought

Hello,

I'm totally new to the JBL world, but have restored my share of Avent, KLH and Infinity speakers. I happened upon two pair of L26s on CL this weekend and have some basic questions. They are of differing ages I am certain, and am just curious if any of the differences are significant?

One pair has black vs. silver backs on the 125As?
One pair has the LE25 tweeter, the other LE25-4?
The crossover rig has four exposed screws on the newer pair, I assume for removal? How do you remove on the old set? Pry off the logo plate?
All four tweeter dust caps are pushed in -- any tricks to popping them back out successfully?


I have found a source (Gordon) for surrounds and dust caps for the woofers, and foam damping rings for the LE25s this morning. I would like to recover the grills, one in blue, one in orange if I can source the fabric, and I need three badges too!
