I came across this little discontinued combo amp (a Motion Sound AR-112 Sidewinder) languishing in the used section of a guitar shop. Now we all KNOW nothing beats a Leslie 147 or 122 for rotary speaker sound, buuuutttt, at 40 lbs and 15.5x20x14.5, this comes darn close and doesn't break your back. After a small repair or two, it has joined my guitar backline. I've written up a description and review, including a picture of the insides, HERE (http://www.in2guitar.com/sidewinder.html), in case anyone else is like me and simply can't help peeking inside rotary speaker systems.
