I've recently purchased the HP580,after looking for over a year! to find a set.
The ones I have come from the 1st owner who bought them in 1995,for 7000 D-mark (3500 euro).
All foam edges need to be replaced,a job which I've done before.

I already own the HP430,which is easier to find.

I picked up some HP420s a while ago, from the original owners. I now want to hear the HP530s, they sound like a better design. I am growing to like the 420s, though, after some time spent with placement & system swapping.

I've replaced all of the foamsurrounds (2 x 10" push-pull & 1 x 8" front) on each speaker.
Today I put them back together & played some music, the sound is beautifull!
The best JBL speaker I've heard untill now.

I've got them connected to a Yamaha DSP-A1 and using the HP420 as rear speakers.

I got the foamsurrounds from audiofriends.nl the whole set (6 surrounds & glue) costs 50,- euro

Thanks alot for the information... :)
I have been looking for that book over the speakers.
And the price he said he paid in 1995 is about the same price i have been told.

Thanks again
