View Full Version : Intermittant continuity on tranducer - what's wrong?

I have a transducer (115H) that occasionally has continuity and therefore works intermittantly. It seems to have continuity/work only when inward pressure is applied to the cone. The tinsel lead is securely attached to the connector terrminal and all other visable items seem intact. Anybody have a similar experiance and reach a conclusion as to what the problem was? Is there any repair possible or is it fatal?

most likely the lead wires need to be touched up. try first at the terminals even though they look ok, i have done probably 10 pairs of them on 115's. if that doesn't help then the problem is where the tinsel wires meet the coil leads.
