Altec Lansing Bookshelf Speakers

Any member familiar with "book shelf" Altec Lansing Model 83 speakers. It's a 3 way system, black cabinets with black grill cloth, guessing a 8" woofer, midrange, tweeter and non vented. Might be '80s vintage, searched and found nothing listed in the LH catalogs etc.

Circa 1992for saleGreat sounding, Altec model "75" stereo speakers. These are great for normal 2-channel, stereo listening, but since they're magnetically shielded, they're also great for use in close proximity to video / computer monitors. Small package, but has great detail and volume. We tested them on our "Big" system powered by our Hafler P-225 power amp turned up to about 45%. They performed great!

Again these are great sounding small speakers. All original drivers in perfect working order and have been swept with our Sine generator for extraneous sonic issues. Woofer surrounds in like NEW shape. Cabinets and grills in near new condition. Each speaker measures 9.5" H x 6" W x 7" D and weighs 5 lbs. Includes our standard 30 day limited warranty (excluding problems due to under / over powering).

Louped that was my suspision also that they were a newer model and not the quality of vintage Altec.
