I posted here in another thread the auction I won for dome 803a woofers with cabinets, 288c drivers and 1003 tar horns with LX5 x-overs. I was wondering how I could tell what the impedence would be if I hooked the system up using the LX5's like the church did that owned them till I got them. The 288c's are labeled 24 ohms and the 803a's are labeled 12ohms. any help would be great.

You mean you want to know which tap on your amp to use? On an amp with output transformers I would use the 8 ohm tap. On a SS amp with no OPT I would not worry; the impedance will not go too low as long as all those components are in good working order.

Ok well I got the horns hooked up using the LX5 x-overs. Heres some specs. They are 10ft apart (for now) I might move them into the big room (24x20) but I wanted to hear them. They are 46" high to the top of the horns. I must say they sound pretty nice but I will have a real good listen Sunday evening. Anyway heres a crappy cell phone pic for now. I really like the tar horns as they are totally dead unlike my 511B horns that ring. BTW I'm running them with 25-35 watts of SET power (Cary 805 amps).:D

I had some natural lighting this morning so the pic came out better.
