What should I use for 25 foot interconnects between a preamp stereo line level output and a headphone amp with stereo line input connection?
Thanks, John Y.

If You haven't got a problem You don't need exotic cables. If You do have a problem then exotic cables won't help You.
Have a look at www.dself.dsl.pipex.com/ampins/balanced/balanced.htm (http://www.dself.dsl.pipex.com/ampins/balanced/balanced.htm). There is other good stuff at that site.
Then have a look at www.jensentransformers.com (http://www.jensentransformers.com). They do have a "white paper" section with good articles. Interesting but an overkill for Your problem. But: they do have a ready solution.
Finally have a look at www.thatcorp.com (http://www.thatcorp.com), InGenius High-CMRR Balanced Line Receivers. Interesting but an overkill for Your problem.
If You have a problem then "normal" differential inputs will help You. If You want to roll Your own, have a look at Analog Devices SSM2141 and SSM2143, and BurrBrown INA 134 and INA 137. Perhaps You can cooperate with a forum member who does electronics?

Without knowing what your connections are, I'd say either:
- if RCA's, just try a good quality stereo pair. Their shielding should avoid unwanted RF and there won't be too great of line loss.
- if balanced (TRS or XLR), you are way ahead of the game. Just use a balanced run. 25-ft is no issue - my sends are well over 100-ft, and larger SR systems are often multiples of that...

Blue Jeans Cable is an excellent site. My son, a musician, had recommended this also. They have a good design philosophy and seem to avoid all the hype that exotic cable mfgrs seem to be caught up with. There are a number of good papers on their site that explain their position.
Thanks for the input.
