I've seen companies offering "Dutch" made replacement diaphragms for various JBL compression drivers (like for the 2416Hs I've got) at a fraction of JBLs price. Are they any good?

Does anyone replace diaphragms as part of a regular maintenance program or just wait until they start to sound bad?

On a different subject, I bet it would be a hoot to go around with a signal generator, distortion analyzer and load simulator to show folks what their amps look like when they clip. Either home rigs or PA systems could be potential customers.

I used a McAdam tester in the 70s for poor boy "McIntosh amp clinics" and had a lot of fun. I managed to smoke a few amps but always got the customer to sign a disclaimer before I started.:bomb:
