Those are Audax drivers with four-hole mounts. They are soft-domed tweeters and still available. Part is 331393-001 and it's $85.10.

The replacement Ti 1" dome tweeter is in stock for use in the HT Series. Part is 336347-001 and it's $66.50 USD. Obviously you'd have to buy a pair as it's not an exact replacement.

Double check mounting hole spacing before ordering.

Thank you TiDome.

Just to clarify. Im not really on the lookout for a replacement. Just wondering if it would be possible to uppgrade them :)

Do you think the Ti would sound much better than the original?

Tim.

For all intents and purposes, the HT4V is an updated SVA1500. As you probably know, the SVA1500, SVA1600, and SVA1800 all used the same 1" soft dome tweeter. The SVA2100 has a 1.5" soft dome tweeter.

Compare:

http://www.jbl.com/home/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=SVA1500&CheckProduct=Y

Both use the same 5.25 driver (332241-001), same enclosure, same horn, same crossover frequency (but not same crossover), etc.

So, yes, I think the Ti will be an improvement in the SVA1500, SVA1600, and SVA1600, but the crossover might need some tweaking.

Looking at the two networks, you can see the LF changes, while there are significant mods on the HF section. You'd need to look toward doing the same thing.

So here's the SVA1500 network compared to the HT4V/H network.
