A few control rooms in recording studios are equipped with large monitors using 4 15" drivers. There is also a model made by Quested Audio which incorporates 4 15" drivers.
What improvement can be given by such monitors compared to the more usual cabinets with 2 15" drivers?

I guess they can produce very high Spl, but in a recording studio it should't be the main goal to achieve!

Well, if you have lots of hip-hop clients I figure massive SPL capacity is a must... :rolleyes:

Well it is one of many goal's.
Do not confuse these monitors with nearfield monitors.

The ones you see up in the soffit's with 4x15" are there to impress the client!!!:bouncy:
