Has anyone had any experience adding a Model 2402H to a 511/802 combo?

It's certainly easy enough to try, and I suppose I could do that.

Our experience with adding tweeters to Altec horns in the Valencia upgrade thread indicated that the deep rearward offset of the mid driver on the horn was problematic, and the best compromise was to mount the tweeter in the horn mouth.

2402H has a fairly large "footprint" (4.75" diameter) in comparison to some alternatives, and would shadow the midrange more, but the 511 has considerably more area within which to work than the 811 we updated. Alnico 075 is smaller.

Doing it again, I think I'd look harder at ways to make the smaller neodymium-magnet 2407H/BMS 4540 work with a small round DIY horn; that driver's only 2.75" diameter.
