130bp ???

Can anyone help me understand what this driver was used/intended for? Somewhere I once read that they were "similar to" the 2220. However, my (somewhat dated) JBL T/S parameters does not list it. The tech manual indicates that it uses the same cone as a 2220, but a different dome. The ones I have have a curved cone and metal dome that look very much like the old D130. My basic question would be, will they perform as a 2220 as a mid bass driver in a home system?
