What a collection!!!! This should bring back some memories an incredible list of items from guitars used by Jerry to the wall of sound and JBL drivers.

The auction's over now. I was looking for a custom road case I built for him while working at Hard Truckers, but didn't see it. 'Probably too big to sell, or someone else is still using it...

Wow! I just happened to come across this again, and was looking over some of the completed auction items, and came across this one - high bid went for $3,750!!! : http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=USA&screen=lotdetailsNoFlash&iSaleItemNo=3507451&iSaleNo=15537

We built TONS of those little cabinets when I was at Hard Truckers - we called them "Cube" speakers. They were made from squares cut out of the hole portions, (usually centers of 15" cut-outs), left over from building bigger cabinets - "free" material! They were about a 7" cube, and we would mount CTS 4-1/2" full-range speakers that each cost about $10 in them. The grille frames were simple masonite, and just a press-fit with the tie-dye cloth.

I've still got about 4 of them kicking around here, (with the tie-dye grilles!), and I think I may even have another 4 unassembled ones in a box somewhere.

I've attached a pic from the auction, and a pic of a pair from when I was at Hard Truckers. (Maybe I should start making them again... :p )
