I thought the outdoors was not the best conducive listening environment?I love setting stuff up outdoors, especially BIG JBL's, where you've effecively removed the room from the equation, and can really cut JBL's loose, where they really like to "sing"...

-Storm.If the air is still the outdoors is great... you don't get the room gain on the low end so you may need extra horsepower on the low end, but without room boundaries clouding up the sound, the sound of a high power system outdoors is something to behold. Unfortunately if it is breezy you do tend to lose the highs.

That's a nice looking array of speakers.

Did you play every one of them? What was your source material? Who showed up? Did your neighbors call the cops?

Inquiring minds want to know.

It is in my book, especially if you can get a little extra boundary reinforcement for low end.

Amen. Also, dry air attenuates freq. above 2K. That Westlake thread mentioned the studio designer Hilty(?) and how he was first inspired by the quality of outdoor sound.

God, I wish I was a Burglar.Sorry, couldn't make it had my daughter's graduation this weekend. Would have loved to hear all those speakers. What did you guys play on them (source material)? Those 250ti's look awful small to all that other stuff. Definately a nice setup.

jbl4ever

2402 with 2405 dia. Members brought what they wanted to hear. A little bit
of everything. This was about 60% of the speakers just not enough room
or time to set up
