View Full Version : 2344/2426j And 2405h

I have upgraded my blue tops and changed the 2404 for 2405.

Momentarily I separate these over the frequency network 3105 with 7000Hz. But the 3105 expects the 16 ohms version for both drivers. The slots are 8 ohm.

I believe that it would be better to insert the highpass of the 4430 (EQ included) for the 2344/2426J (motified for 16 ohms) plus a second stage with a cutoff frerquency of 10-12kHz.

Does someone has running this constellation? With which cutoff frequency do you use the drivers?

Thank you for infos, opinions and help.

Hello Ralf

I have thought about this a few times. As far as the 4430 comp leave out the .04uH coil and it starts to roll off around 10K. Just bring in the 2405 around there. I have never tried it but playing around could get you the roll off you need and just have a high pass on the 2405. I run 2344 with 2416's and use the 4435 compensation. Nothing on top as the 4435 comp does a good job on the high end. My 2405's are taken for a future project. How did you have the 2404 crossed over??

Ralf you should nor worry about 8 or 16 Ohm with 2404 or 2405.

The all use 16 Ohm Diaphragms.

Anyway i like your idea. Lets test it an measure around with it.

Hi Rob,

it was the same network (3105), cutoff 7kHz...
