3" metal dust caps for K110-questions

I am in need of metal dust caps to replace dented and smashed dust caps in four K110's recently purchased. In that regard I have two questions I cannot seem to answer in current posts, the Internet, JBL parts sellers, Ebay, etc. They are:

1st-What is the exact size of the dust cap in a K110?

2nd-Who might have 3" aluminum dust caps for sale?

Any suggestions or advice is welcomed.

Those domes are JBL part 48844 and list for $5.64 each. Your local JBL service center may be able to get them for you, though I'd recommend you also have them install the domes.

I have 1 dome for an E110, and agree with the earlier post to have a JBL reconer do the job. 2 domes come in a recone kit, sometimes, and possilbly a reconer has some spares available for you.

If the dome is dimpled, a shop vac may suck it out. If badly smashed in, you will to also check the roundness of the of the voice coil. Sometimes a dome problem can turn into a recone job, quickly.

Good luck! I use E110s also in my rig, and have reconed a few. I would like to make a couple into 2123 for 43xx monitor duty, but that's another thread!
