I picked up one of these today and it works well. Pulls FM stereo fine w/o antenna. Nice sound, seems powerfull Can find no info on the web except for this ebay auc for the lit, and I cant read that. Anybody know about this beast ? Its not even in my 1991 Orion, which has almost everything.

I also picked up a very nice Thorens TD-160 today. Runs fine. checked ebay to see what they are going for and found this auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/Thorens-TD-160-165-180-150-Dust-Cover-Dustcover_W0QQitemZ300097733238QQihZ020QQcategoryZ 3283QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

US $122.50 for a used Thorens dustcover !!!

must be made of unobtainium.

(I always thought these were Swiss, but says "made in Germany")

Well, reading the fine writing in that image you posted it talks about the AA70 being "the sound of the 70s".
When I bought my CR-400 (and L36 Decades) back in 1976, I was pretty sure that was first generation Yamaha Audiophile gear.
Pretty sure the "Natural Sound" motto came later ...

Then again, there is this thread with pictures at AK -

most of the completed auctions for this , that I found , were in German.

Heather, how cud you read it ? was zero resolution for me. Whoops there, I can read "the sound of the 70s", now that I squint.

I've got a 20 inch widescreen Dell monitor 1680 x 1050 pixels
(I do photo and graphics work for web design, among other things)

So your whole ad was just a bit over half-screen at full browser size ..

I won't say it's clear as day - but I need a big screen to pick out photo detail - tho its a bit wasted on ebay and the web!

yeah , I'm running a Dell 1905FP UltraSharp for my PSCS2 work (lifelong photog), guess my eyes are tired. set mon at 1024x768, gets too small at higher res.
