The initial project brief and detailed workplan have been completed and we are now looking for volunteers for specific tasks. I have attached a copy of the plan to this post. It was created with an application called Smartworks Planner. To read this file, download and install the following reader application:

http://www.smartworks.us/demo/ppreader10.exe

After it is installed, unzip and load the attached file. The project brief is included as a part of that file. Once you have opened the workplan in the reader, Click on the "Plan" icon on the vertical tool bar and then click the paper clip to the right of "project definition". This will allow you to open the project brief.

As stated in the "Read Me" post above, discussions on this project are being conducted in private forums for which you need permission to access. If you want to participate, you can reply to this thread with that reguest and I can grant access.

For those that do not have access to a Windows PC, here is the Gantt Chart as a PDF. Unfortunately, it requires printing, cutting and pasting to form a single chart.

Here is the workplan in tabular form as an Excel spreadsheet.

Hi Heather,

My understanding is this ;
- Giskard is building the cabinets this fall/winter .
- Widget recently shipped him the CNC machined parts needed to accomplish this.
- The construction method of choice appears to be a layering up of individual curved side "planks" ( 3/4" high , I believe ). This is somewhat akin to building/layering up a log cabin out of curved logs . The front and backs are regular "thick" pieces of MDF that the sides and braces "tie" into.
- Giskard has stated that he will construct the final crossovers from Solen parts and they will be Charge-Coupled ™ .
- Widget will focus on making the H9800 horn and tweeter horn ( and the central section that houses them )..

I'm assuming both their timelines are ;
- When they feel motivitated and when they have the free time to devote ( these may not be mutually inclusive due to busy schedules ) . Therefore an ETA is impossible to predict.

Hopefully this info helps <> Earl K
