I purchased the speakers slightly used in 1966--yes that's correct--and they've had the surrounds done by the factory at least 4 times (used to be a lifetime warranty!) for free. Last time was about 10 years ago, but they've got far less use than when I was in college.
The surrounds are still in good shape (audibly), but I'm thinking they will need replacement again soon.
The sound quality in a medium sized room is really good. (They are paired with an NAD amp some 20 years old; the Dynaco stuff I built at the time I bought the speakers became too hard to maintain.) I'd like to keep them so any advice on services, parts, locations, etc. are welcome.
