Is a D.C.R. of 4.7 on a JBL 123A-1 good or not?:dont-know

dcr resistance on the 123A-1 should be between 4.5 minimum and 5.5 maximum.To answer your question yes 4.7 is good.

How does one test the D.C.R. ?:banghead:

Just take an ohm meter, put the probes to the speaker terminals, the meter will show display the DCR!

You're kidding - thats all DCR is - DC Resistance????

That reminds me of when I first learned how to repair audio. When I looked up something like how transistors work in a circuit, I remember thinking to myself, 'oh, that's how it works.'
Understanding it was a lot of fun. It also made understanding the problem easier and then the repair.
