Not quite. C38 Baron ( a C36 on its side)

D123, 075 N2400, otherwise known as an "002" kit.

(The ribs on the bass driver cone are a give-away that it is not a D130, not to mention its smaller size)

You are right, only missed on the crossover. The actual cabinets measures 19 3/8 high x 23 7/8 wide and 15 7/8 deep. Older brochures gave it with and without the feet when listing height. The newer ones only with, thus a height at 26. The 002 kit was D123, 075 and N2600. The N2600 was switchable 16/32 ohms, and is what is installed center of the back. Bottom threaded for legs, but alas, they are missing. Regardless of numbers, they are now on there way to me from the original owners son. They have never been opened and look to be in mint condition. I'm excided about finding these and will be put to use with a nice little 2A3 SET. :)

No, the C36 was what was referred to as the Viscount. I used to own a pair of those, loaded with D130/077/N7000 (someone must have started with a D130 alone, then added the others later, that's not any of the known factory combos).

I now own a pair of the "alternate" base style C36 cabinets... the ones with the woofen "box" base. I'd like to try the combo in these Barons, or even better, with an 077/2405 and N8000 or an EV T35/EV 3.5KHZ crossover, in my cabients. The D123 is pretty ideally suited for these boxes with transistor amps, where the D130 really wanted to be hooked to a low-feedback tube amp (needed a lower amp damping factor to have any usable bass extension)...

Came back from Chicago with these a few weeks ago. I don't believe the grill has ever been removed. I tried to slide it out and it wouldn't budge. It is loaded with a D131, LE175 8/16 ohm and an N1200

Got 'em on "the-Bay". They looked real nice and the wifey has always wanted a set of JBL's with the aluminum legs. Chi-town isn't too far, so I bid away!

They're in pretty good shape. May have been refinished at one time. There are some minor nicks and scratches. I probably will have Audiobeer perform his magic on them because the lacquer finish is cracking in places. They are a beautiful Mahogany finish with a touch of an auburn-like highlight. The grills are insanely perfect!!

Those old grills are something on the old JBL's, the ones on my Dad's C35's are near perfect. I think as long as a person doesn't have a cat or a major accident, they would last forever.
