What is with the left speaker (no label)? Magnet does not look right.

They look OK to me. Different surrounds are no big deal. I don't think it's a passive, it has terminals. Probably just a bad photo. And a high price.

They look OK to me. You are totally right... I glanced at the photos without enlarging them... On my laptop, those images are pretty itty bitty. I didn't notice that the leads were painted white on the Lans-a-loy cone, and didn't look at the rears either. You know what happens when you make an assumption. :)

I had an LE10-101 that had nothing saying JBL on it , came straight out of a Lancer 77. This one may be OK, IMHO

I was referring to the edge of the magnet. JBL's seem to be more rounded.

I think that's just a trick of the lighting. Here's a brightened version. They're still overpriced.

When JBL started selling some cabinets that were only available with a specific, factory installed speaker complement instead a choice of systems (Lancer 33, Lancer66, L54trimline, etc.) the drivers sometimes had no labels, or small rectangular labels listing the model number only without a serial number. They also did not get the usual wrinkle-finish paint.
