2204 reconed in 2203h

Hello, I have just a question concerning my plan. I have four 12ionch JBL 2204h, and I would like to built two subs for my system (20-45hz). Do you know if it's possible to reconed these units with 2203h cones. Do you think it could be a good idea ?
My sspeakers are 93 db no more, would I need one, or a pair of speakers or more. I was thinking of 2203 as they go very low in a small volume.

Yep, been there, done that. Do a search for 2203 with my name.

Only problem is, that the cone kits are No Longer Available. I can still get some but they are bloody expensive!!

I changed my 4435 for a pair of these. It's definitively better except the very low response. That's why I am thinking of two small subs... The horn is incredible : details, open and smooth and neutral. Cabinet is wellbuilt with no resonance.
For the subs , I imagine to small cubic BR cabinets...

Never! The 2203H is incredible in low bass. The 2204 can't do that.

Sell the 4x2204H and buy one of the following

Single 2245H
Single 2235H.
Dual 252G

In the car audio range for sub 40hz
GTI-12
GTI-15

You can refoam the 2204H a bit like the 2234.
You will have the option to build B460, B380 or custon dual 12".
