I have a used "Allen Houston" Speaker Cabinet with JBL D140f 15" speakers in it, but these speakers are not listed on the JBL wesite......?


Can someone help me please?



EDIT: this is a "vintage" cabinet it looks like it hasnot been touched in 30 years

What help are you looking for? The D140F is long out of production, but likely still can be repaired if that's what you're after.

they are in mint condition and so is the cabinet, i was looking for value......if you can...thanks...

FWIW; the "Market Forum" is the most appropriate place for soliciting online "appraisals" .

A quick search for values of some recent sales' over at eBay indicates these woofers are selling at a premium right now. As much as $210.00 a woofer. Bass quitar players seem to have driven up the price from the more sensible/typical $135.00 to $150.00. Something to look for is that they have the original cones with the triple-pleated accordian type surround. A ribbed style cone was used in the original. A double half-roll treated linen style surround will indicate that the woofer has been reconed into who knows what - reducing its value.
