I believe they were nicknamed the racetrack driver because of the oval shape. REGARDS JIM

Yep, that's a Kef 6X9 woofer. This size driver was used in cars for years............... & years.

The squawker and the tweeter are Peerless drivers from about 1965-70. Also used in B&O Beovox 5000 and B&O Beovox 4000, respectively.
