Hi everyone,
Would someone please be able to tell me how I'd go about hooking up my JBL PB10 subwoofer from my receiver? I have 2 inputs on the sub itself, L & R and I was wondering which one I plug the cable into, or if I need some kind of a Y cable.

I had just a normal Monster Cable subwoofer cable before but it's no longer working...and I cant remember which input on the sub that the cable goes into.

Oh, and when the sub is working properly, the lights should be green, right? They've been red for some time now (I guess since the cable stopped working)

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Okay - looks like its a self-power sub - I found info on it on Amazon ...
http://www.amazon.com/JBL-PB10-150-Watt-Down-Firing-Subwoofer/dp/B000051SEV

I went to the JBL company site and checked the support pages -
They have Q&A pages - so I looked up what the lights mean -

When plugged in and turned on, but with no audio signal, the LEDs will be RED, to indicate that the unit is plugged in, turned on, and in standby mode, but not receiving an audio input signal. When a signal is received, and the subwoofer starts playing, the LEDs will turn GREEN, and remain green so long as a signal is present. The LEDs will remain green for several minutes after the signal stops, to indicate that the unit has not yet returned to standby mode.

They had specs and stuff here -

You can download the owner's manual from that site too -
http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/HOM/Owner%27s%20Manual/PB%2010-12%20OM.pdf

Pictures and details on how to hook it up are on page 3 - depends on whether you have a separate SUB output on your receiver or if you loop your main speakers through so it can filter the sub output from them. (it looks like it has a left and right IN as well as Left and right OUT to do it that way).

Looks like a nice all in one unit - good luck!

For some reason I wasnt able to access the user manual. Page won't open or something. I guess I'll just have to do a trial and error and try each input till I get the right one. THanks for your help :) :applaud:
