Yeah, good idea..

If these do not sell, they are going in storage?

What the heck? Why not list them on eBay if you dont want them enough to play them?

I think anyone who places stuff like this in storage should be wrangled up and done something with - that is way uncalled for.

;)

Why no price?

I would guess so that he can pit potential buyers against one another....

The seller used the term "Klangfilm" to try and stir interest, but it looks like a Siemens 1960s consumer speaker to me.

To see some real Klangfilm cinema equipment, check out this extensive site:

http://klangfilm.free.fr/index.php?lng=0&music=&type=0&frame=1&item=&title=&dir=&num=

Click on the link to Pictures, then scroll down to the links under the headings 2.4 Drivers and 2.6 Loudspeakers.

Storage might be the right place for it.

When I first clicked the link, I was anticipating some old theater gear...

and hoping for a pair of their big acoustic lens set-ups....

unfortunately, that wasn't what is there :(

I do not know this speaker, I can't see any speciality at it.
Th tweeter looks like a standard cone driver from ISOPHON.

After 1945 Klangfilm in Western Germany changed to Siemens. In Eastern Germany they hold the name - as far as I know.

Hoerninger, until a certain point I thought that nearly all of the significant loudspeakers of the 1930s and 1940s were built in the USA. Paul Voigt's drivers and horns (UK) were the only other important work I was aware of. Then a few years ago I ran across a web site (no longer up) that detailed some of the incredible cinema speakers built in Germany as well as the System Eckmiller coaxial monitor speakers. As a lover of monstrous old field coil drivers I was in heaven!

Thank you, juergen. I had seen these pictures before, but lost track of their location. Magnificent drivers!
