It's an example of what we were earlier discussing about parting out.

He would not ship, and I don't guess Dearborn is a hotbed of vintage JBL aficionados.

LE14As are kick-ass woofers, and those look to be in good shape. They probably only need refoam.

Could have gotten three times that, probably, for the parts.... :(

With the advent of the net it made millions of items more accessable than prior when you were limited to the classifieds in your local newspaper. At this stage of the game if you can't ship items you shouldn't be bothering posting on the net. A casual glance thru Ebay you will find anything under the sun with items weighing thousands of pounds. A couple of speakers weighing about 50 pounds each is a drop in the bucket these days. I'v a had a few good buys with people who limited themselves to local sales only. If shipped they could of doubled their money, penny wise and dollar foolish.

I saw a pair of nice Polk Monitor 10B's go for only 26 dollars because they were in the heartland and the seller refused to ship. When your 2 hours from the nearest large city you limit your market way too much. The same speakers in New Jersey would fetch 2-300 dollars because of the abundance of buyers.
