UK 4425's

Any UK members in the market for some ex-studio (i.e. well used) 4425's should look here:

The seller has sent me photos and the cabinets are very poor but the drivers look OK. He's looking £300.

I have posted pictures over on the Technical Help Forum...there is something slightly odd about one of the woofers.

If they sound OKAY , take his price and deduct for grills , cab condition , misfoamed woofer and maybe offer 225 (438) ? I wud think that to be a good deal.

Oh, this is dangerous. I promised the wife I was going to sell some speakers, not buy more.

The lack of grilles is probably the deal breaker for me. I can't be bothered with the hassle of trying to get new ones (or make some of my own).

the last set of JBL's on UK eBay sold for >£600 so £300 would be about right if they had grilles (and sounded OK)

Haha, I managed to slip the 250Ti's in the house and past the wife with statements like ..."Honey, they didn't look that BIG in the photos"....cough, cough.

I just tell the one who must be obeyed :( that I bought them to flip , then..."have to test them before selling"....then.., "these are too good to sell , I'll find something else to move."
